GUNA – collagen mesotherapy
What is mesotherapy ?
Mesotherapy is a procedure in which in the middle layer of skin-mesoderm we inject a cocktail of amino acids, vitamins, trace elements, hyaluronic acid and other active substances. Depending on the used cocktails mesotherapy aims:
• activation of cells producing the basic structures of the skin (collagen, elastin, intercellular substance)
• Hydration
• tightening and improved skin tone
• cellulite and body lipolytic effect, etc.
Collagen mesotherapy
Collagen is the basic component of the connective tissue, in fact its laxity, decay and intoxication are the main causes of skin and tissue aging.
As a person grows old, the epidermis becomes thinner, and consequently there is a decrease in the skin’s moisture barrier, resulting in excessive escape of moisture and drying of the skin. As we age, the number of epidermal cells decreases by approximately 10% each year, thus preventing the repair and regeneration of the skin.

The effects of aging on the dermal layer are significant: not only does the dermal layer become thinner, but the elastic and collagen fibers that contribute to the elasticity of the skin wear out and defragment. These changes in the underlying tissues of the skin cause wrinkles and sagging.
Based on the knowledge of physiological aging of the skin, MD-TISSUE was developed by GUNA LABORATORIES through innovative SKA /Sequential Kinetic Activation/ technology, to provide a new physio-regulating approach for protection and rejuvenation of the skin. It curbs physiological aging of the connective tissue and acts as a barrier against free radicals. The main component of MD-TISSUE is collagen which effectively supports, sustains and restores the collagen fibers of the connective tissue matrix thereby ensuring a high-quality collagen grid – a „bionet” which contours, tightens and tones the skin and serves as a supportive base for all its structures.
To create an even more leading-edge formula, GUNA LABORATORIES have enriched it with several salient excipients: ascorbic acid (vitaminC), magnesium, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), riboflavin (vitamin B2), and thiamin hydrochloride (vitamin B1). These substances are rarely seen in aesthetic formulations yet they are of great importance for keeping the skin young. Vitamins B1, B2 and B6 are included for their antioxidant activity action against photoaging and protection of the matrix glycosaminoglycans. Vitamin C is exclusively important for collagen synthesis. Magnesium gluconate is particularly important for the catalitic action on collagen methabolism. Moreover they contribute to the transport, delivery and stability of the collagen in the corresponding structures of the skin where needed, due to the marked tropism for these structures.

MD-TISSUE can be injected directly into specific areas of the skin to mechanically remodel the tissue and flatten wrinkles. MD-TISSUE can
be used either alone as a very effective anti-age treatment, or via tunnelling injection, intradermal injections /needle mesotherapy/, or to support the action of other anti-aging products such as hyaluronic acid or botox. The transdermal delivery of MD-TISSUE by magnetophoresis with a conductive gel (Gel Beauty) /non-needle mesotherapy/, or by derma- rollers /meso-rollers, micro-needle rollers/ facilitates application and ensures the high-quality “bionet” which serves as a base for tightened and toned skin. Moreover, the innovative format of an injectable formulation allows the practitioner to directly target the affected skin zone.
