Cosmetic medicine – fillers

General information on cosmetic medicine:

The range of fillers for medical use has been increasing in the recent years as a substitute for the animal collagen, which was applied for a long period of time. Several new, safer and absorbable products with varying concentration have been added to the traditional one and presented on the market. Our Department offers hyaluronic acid application performed by trained dermatocosmetology experts.

How is the filler applied?

The filler is a stable, viscoelastic hyaluronic acid gel produced in artificial environment. The gel being injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle lifts and adds volume to the treated areas. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the intercellular space. Its levels in the skin decrease significantly with aging due to sun exposure, smoking, genetic and other environmental factors. The first signs of skin aging in women are the small, vertical, fine lines around the lip area and “thinning” of the upper lip.

By injecting hyaluronic acid we increase skin’s hydration, stimulate its rejuvenation and smoothen the face wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid in lower concentrations is injected into the middle part of the derm to fill forehead, glabellar or frown wrinkles and mild lines of the nasolabial folds. Higher concentrations mould the contour of the face, fill in furrows and add volume to the lips.

Indications:

Hyaluronic acid is successfully applied for line, wrinkle and acne/chicken-pox scar correction.
